Money Matters?

First week into BA Fine Art's course, we were given the task to do some work to present the following week in order to introduce our selves to our fellow peers.  Having a very busy week, feeling as though I was a headless chicken.  My only relaxation was to have a read of the news papers and see whats on TV.  I figured this was going to be my research.  Reusing some old pieces of wood, not knowing where it was going?  I moved it about and it reminded me of the graph shown in the financial times, thought about painting it red?  but then the idea came, to wrap it in news papers clippings of whats happening in the world today, now looking at my work from a new perspective and several rough sketches, I'm now looking at one of those oil-rigs that has movement like a hammer action-pumping the oil from the earth's crust, (the black gold)  I see greed.  I see power.  I see trouble?
